Rabbit-based recipes for cats

For simplicity of preparation we will indicate the doses for 3 meals, so that you have to prepare it only once and facilitate the recipe and also your time to devote to it.

Rabbit morsels with vegetables

Ingredients

  • 50 grams of rice;
  • 100 gr of well boned rabbit meat;
  • 1 tablespoon of corn oil;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 courgette.

Preparation

  1. First of all, you need to boil the rice (wholemeal, white or red) and cook it until the grain is broken.
  2. Separately, it is necessary to boil the vegetables for at least thirty minutes in a drizzle of water. At the end of cooking, it will be necessary to eliminate the excess water and pass them in the blender.
  3. In a pan, blanch the rabbit meat cut into bite-sized pieces for at least ten minutes. When the meat is cooked, remove the broth and set it aside.
  4. Take the blanched vegetables and add them to the broth, obtaining a nice cream of broth and vegetables.
  5. Add the rice to the meat and pour the vegetable cream over the mixture.
  6. Mix everything and serve in the cat bowl  at room temperature.

Rabbit morsels in kidney sauce

Ingredients

  • 50 grams of noodles;
  • 100 gr of well boned rabbit meat;
  • 50 gr veal kidney;
  • 1 tablespoon of corn oil;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 courgette;

Preparation

  1. First you need to cook the noodles well broken up until they are almost undone.
  2. Boil the vegetables for at least thirty minutes in a drizzle of water. At the end of cooking, it will be necessary to eliminate the excess water and pass them in the blender.
  3. In a pan , blanch the rabbit meat cut into bite-sized pieces for at least ten minutes.
  4. Aside , blanch the kidney and drain it from the broth, keeping a part of it.
  5. When the meat is cooked, the kidney must be blended well with part of its cooking broth until a cream is obtained.
  6. Combine the vegetables, the noodles, the rabbit meat, mixing a drizzle of olive oil, pour the kidney sauce over everything. Mix making the mixture homogeneous.
  7. Serve in the bowl at room temperature.

Fili d’angelo with rabbit cream

Ingredients

  • 50 gr of fillet d’angelo (pastina);
  • 150 gr of rabbit pulp;
  • 1 tablespoon of corn oil;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 courgette.

Preparation

  1. First you need to cook the angel threads or another type of small pasta you like best, until the pasta is well cooked.
  2. Boil the vegetables for at least thirty minutes in a drizzle of water. At the end of cooking, it will be necessary to eliminate the excess water.
  3. In a pan, blanch the rabbit meat cut into bite-sized pieces for at least ten minutes.
  4. When the meat is cooked, it is necessary to blend the pulp well with part of its cooking broth and the blanched vegetables, until a cream is obtained.
  5. Pour the cream obtained on the angel threads and mix everything with a drizzle of oil.
  6. Serve in the cat’s bowl at room temperature, after mixing everything well.
